Every 3 March, KISWA joins sex workers’ rights organisations across Kenya and the world to mark International Sex Workers Rights Day. This flagship annual event is a public affirmation of dignity, solidarity, and the ongoing struggle for rights.
KISWA leads peaceful community marches through Kisumu streets, bringing together member groups from all five counties in Nyanza. The day includes rallies, advocacy messages, and community engagement — a visible, powerful statement that sex workers’ rights are human rights.

These marches bring together KISWA members and allies to demonstrate solidarity and push for meaningful change across Nyanza.
Across KISWA’s 22 member groups, regular support gatherings provide a safe, confidential space for sex workers and vulnerable community members to share experiences, access information, and support one another.
These sessions serve widows, persons with disabilities, adolescent girls, and single mothers — extending KISWA’s reach across all five counties in Nyanza.
